Fees
A therapy session lasts 50 minutes.
The APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2022-2023 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $280
A standard consultation fee with Rui is $230.
After hours consults (after 5pm) is charged at a fee of $250 and subject to availability.
You may be eligible for rebates which may reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.
Cancellation fees will apply (half of session cost) if appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
Referrals
Out of pocket fees will vary according to type of referrals:
Medicare Rebates: If you are eligible for medicare benefits, you may visit your GP to request for a Mental health care plan. This allows you access to up to ten psychology sessions and claim a rebate of $131.65 per session. The out of pocket expense will be $98.35 (standard consult) and $118.35 (after hours consult) respectively.
Private health fund: You may be eligible to claim a rebate through your private health fund. The amount may vary according to your individual health fund and your level of cover. Please contact your private health care fund regarding eligibility and limits of cover.
No referral: It is not necessary to obtain a referral to access psychology sessions. However, standard consultation fees will apply and you will not be able to claim relevant rebates for the consultation fees.
