How do I book an initial consult?
You may book an initial appointment using the enquiry form on the website. Alternatively you may contact me through email, phone call or text message that can be found on the contact page.
Your GP may also send the referral letter and mental health care plan directly to rk@ruipsychology.com.au
I will contact you to book a date and time for an initial consult. I aim to reply all enquiries within 24 business hours.
What to expect in your initial consult?
Prior to the initial consult, you will be required to complete an information sheet and consent form that will be sent to your email.
Upon arrival to the clinic, make yourself comfortable in the waiting room and I will collect you at your time of appointment.
As there is no reception staff, all admin task (payment, scheduling of appointments) will be completed at the end of the session or in between sessions via email or phone
The initial phase of treatment will take 2-3 sessions. During these sessions, we will go into detail of your presenting concerns, history and goals of therapy, and decide whether we are a good fit. Following the assessment phase, I will share with you my understanding about you and your presenting concerns, and work collaboratively with you to come up with a treatment plan in line with your goals.
The progress of therapy will be reviewed periodically or as needed.
What is your current availability?
I currently have availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays. After hour consults may be available. Please contact for more information.
Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes, telehealth sessions are available via video conference.
What payment options are available?
Payment is available through credit or debit card and will be collected at the end of each session.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
In the event that you are unable to make it for an appointment, please contact me as soon as possible.
Cancellations that occur in less than 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee (50% of session fee). Please note that you will not be able to claim the cancellation fee on your rebates.
What if I am in a crisis now?
Rui Psychology is not an emergency or crisis services. Phone and email contact will not be monitored 24/7. If you are in an emergency, please contact “000”.
